The Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration opened in London in June 2026 and is the world’s largest dedicated space for illustration. Based within a restored 18th and 19th century waterworks in the borough of Islington, the Centre aims to use illustration to explore stories of social, industrial and environmental change that relate to the site’s fascinating history.

My role as exhibition project manager involved the delivery of four gallery exhibitions and a library space in collaboration with the Centre’s curatorial, opertations and installation team. This was an incredbible opportunity to be part of such a unique and exciting project. It required extensive communication and relationship management between the project’s many stakeholders including ensuring the exhibition fit out contractors and the Princial Contractors for the captial project were able to work alongside each other harmonopously during the sensitive building handover period.
